The WAS foundation aims to uplift families to become self sustainable. Over 1300 people are already assisted through the foundation and the mask project became another opportunity to earn income and upskill themselves.
The mask inititaive made a massive difference, as the majority of these people do not have work and rely on the foundation for assistance. Sewing machines have been donated as well as sewing courses have been provided to upskill and assist the dependents in their endeavour to create an income.
As long as poverty and starvation among our people persists, none of us can truly rest. This is why this initiative is so important to us.
